Andre Rieu Christmas Extravaganza in Maastricht with Brussels and Bruges

Join us on our exclusive trip to see the Master of Music, Mr Andre Rieu. This trip will book up fast as concert seats are hard to come by. As well as this fantastic concert in his hometown, you will have the chance to visit the local Christmas markets on the famous Grand Place and enjoy a day trip to Bruges. Enjoy Belgian waffles and hot chocolate in the many outlets around the square. If you are a bit more adventurous you can sample the Moules Mariniere and Frites served in many restaurants throughout the city.

Day 1 - 18 December 2025 Depart Dublin airport at 15:30 for direct flight to Brussels airport arriving at approximately 18:15 (+1hour ahead. Flight time: 1 hr. 35 mins) On arrival in Brussels transfer to your hotel NH Grand place, Arenberg. The 4* NH Brussels Grand Place Arenberg hotel is right next to Grand Place – the city’s central square. It’s really handy for public transport too, so it makes an ideal base whether you’re here for business or pleasure. 5-minute walk from Grand Place, the city’s main square, close to sights like the Royal Palace, plus Rue Neuve – the main shopping street – and a string of museums Rooms are modern and comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi good-quality buffet breakfast included The remainder of your evening is free in Brussels to enjoy the ambience or a local restaurant .

Day 2 - 19 December 2025 Breakfast at hotel. Leave after breakfast, travel 1.5 hours to Bruges arriving around 12 mid-day. Your tour leader will take you on a leisurely walk for around 20 minutes to the centre of Bruges. You need time there to soak up the ambience of this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site.It comes alive at Christmas and is steeped in history. On this tour you will have the choice of having your time free in Bruges or join a historic walking tour for a further 1.5 hours. See sights such as the 800-year-old St. John’s Hospital, and the imposing façade of the Church of Our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk). Learn the history of the opulent palace of Gruuthuse and walk alongside the banks of the Dijver Canal. Other highlights include the charming canal-side houses of the Rozenhoedkaai, the tiny square of the Huidenvettersplein (Tanners Square), and the site of the 1st count’s castle on Castle Square. You will have free time to shop in Bruges, sight see or visit the Christmas markets. The coach will leave the bus park at around 5pm. Evening free in Brussels. 

Day 3 - 20 December 2025 Breakfast at hotel. Free time to enjoy the many sites of Brussels. Visit the Cathedral, go shopping or wander to the Mannequin Pis. The concert will start at 8pm in the MECC. A Christmas market with numerous charmingly decorated stalls provides the culinary delights. We advise you take a lunch in Brussels. This afternoon around 4pm, depart Brussels for the 2- hour journey to Maastricht. Before the performance at 8pm the venue is open with plenty of entertainment in a scenic marketplace set up with food stalls, small orchestras and an auld time festive atmosphere. The concert will start at 8pm in the MECC. We have excellent seats to the side with views across the whole arena. As the dancers and bands approach the stage you have an excellent view of the complete performance.

Day 4 - 21 December 2025 Breakfast at hotel. Free time in Brussels to buy your last-minute Belgian chocolate before departing the hotel around 1pm for your homeward flight at 4.10pm arriving in Dublin around 5pm
